You may have the talent, abilities, and skills or a willingness to work hard attitude, but are those things sufficient for you to survive in business for a long time? There are people who offer products and services, sell it online or to people in their network, but still have a hard time coping with the business. They may be experiencing high levels of stress.  Perhaps they usually have no time for socializing, leisure time, or even pure relaxation. They are also stuck at their current business level, meaning no improvement or innovation. What seems to be the problem? Let’s explore.

“Entrepreneurship is a way of thinking, reasoning, and acting that is opportunity obsessed, holistic in approach and leadership balanced,” says Jeffrey Timmons in his book New Venture Creation. It is more than just having the talent and skills. It needs to be correctly and strategically planned. It also requires devotion and discipline to build a business that will last, and you will enjoy doing. That is just some of the characteristics an individual must have to attain entrepreneur success.

Let’s define the word “entrepreneur.”  An entrepreneur is an individual who operates, manages and controls a business while having the goal to earn a profit. To reach his goals, he needs to have the following traits and attitudes:

Be Passionate

Passion is a vital ingredient in attaining entrepreneur success. This will take you to the highest of your potential, allowing you to reach your goals.

Do your best, and you can surpass your limits as an entrepreneur. To do your best, you must love what you are doing. Having no passion for work will result in laziness and procrastination. If that happens, you’ll never finish or attain your goals.

Be Disciplined

You need to focus a lot more so that you can finish things required in your business. If not, you will need to make more time to repair the damages or spend more time to complete your products or services.

There may also be changes from time to time about the demands of your customers and your capacity to work with it. It can give you stress thats why you also need to be flexible. Whatever changes that may happen in your business, you must cope with it.

Be a Risk-taker

As an entrepreneur, you must risk a lot of things especially money in starting your business. You must forget your fears and face the opportunities with confidence. From the start, you must know the risks that you will encounter in your chosen venture.

If you want to be more creative and innovative in your business, you must take risks to achieve a better result and higher entrepreneur success.

Be a “Trooper”

A trooper is someone who exhibits extreme perseverance. To achieve entrepreneur success, “Never give up.” You may see these words on a t-shirt. Having a business is easy, but managing and handling it is a different story. You have to meet challenges, problems, risks, and shortcomings but these are normal. The secret is perseverance. Whatever circumstances you meet along the way, never give up.

Everyone has the talent and skills to start his own business, but not everyone can be an entrepreneur. You must have these attitudes to reach entrepreneur success.
