The powerful routine of affirmations has helped thousands (maybe even more) of people obtain more or what they desire than they thought possible. Of course, many people practice positive affirmations daily, but not everyone manages to benefit. Affirmations functions very much in the same way as visualization and goal setting.
If you do affirmations but aren’t enjoying the results, then you are probably using this potent tool in the wrong direction. Here are five simple yet effective steps for making affirmations work for you.
Step #1 – You Must Truly Feel It
A lot of people don’t see results from their daily affirmations because, truthfully, they are merely going through the motions of doing it. They aren’t injecting any emotions or feelings with their affirmations. If you want your affirmations to perform for you, then you have to add positive feeling words in your affirmations. When you embrace the emotions, your affirmations will become dramatically more powerful and effective.
Step #2 – Repetition is Crucial
You will never achieve notable results by taking only one step. The same truth also applies to your affirmations. You have to work with them daily if you want to make them come to life. You can’t say them once and then forget about it. You have to repeat your affirmations daily until it becomes an almost unconscious habit. When your affirmations become habitual, only then will you start experiencing the results.

Step #3 – Make Your Affirmations Into Your Routine
If you want to enjoy the most benefit out of your positive affirmations, you have to turn mere practice into a routine. This means that you should read your statements at the same time every day. The most productive times to practice your affirmations is once each morning and once before you go to bed for the evening. Repeating your affirmations before you go to bed at night, helps your subconscious mind continue to work on what you desire and need in your life.
Step #4 – Conviction That it Will Come To Be
Most people do their affirmations, but they don’t have any conviction that they are going to ahieve what they desire. If you don’t believe in something, you won’t put in the work required to obtain it. You won’t take action. Your beliefs define your level of effort. When you have faith that you are going to achieve it, you will do whatever it requires to get it.
Step #5 – Commit and Take Consistent Action
If you want your affirmations to work, then you have to make the commitment to achieving what you want. If you’re going to take your idea, create a plan from it, and launch a business, then you have to be devoted to that outcome. You must take action by working on it and doing the things necessary to bring it to fruition.
As entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals for your affirmations to work for you, you have to be decisive in the belief that they will. Work at and perform your affirmations daily, with feeling and emotion, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly your desires are manifested. Success is closer than you think.
